Rosie Waters
Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Attachment Talk

Have you ever wondered why you behave in a particular way in and around relationships?

Why you might feel jealous and insecure?

Or why you might feel you have one foot in and one foot out and struggle to commit?

Or do you know someone who struggles in relationships?

It could be down to attachment style.

Attachment styles are set up in childhood and set up a blueprint or internal map of how we view and form relationships as adults.

I will be talking a little about the history of attachment and why it matters and welcome discussion.

About Rosie Waters

My name is Rosie Waters, I am a counsellor/psychotherapist, with a special interest in Attachment. I work with individual clients of all ages. I meet with my clients weekly or fortnightly and work fairly long term with people. I have been in private practice since 2014.

My background is nursing. I spent 25 years working as a nurse, in a number of specialties, but mainly gynecology and women's health, which is where I developed by passion for helping people with difficult and frightening emotions. I left the profession around 2013 to progress my counselling career as I realized I wanted to focus more on helping people emotionally rather than physically.

As well as being a therapist I am a wife to David, Mum to 2 daughters, aged 21 and 18 and to 2 little cats, all of whom enrich my life in many ways. I enjoy swimming and am a member of a triathalon club where I enjoy 2 challenging club swims a week. I enjoy walking and being out in nature and am a keen photographer and gardener, although both are extremely amateur hobbies.
